Body Work
 
At a Step Up To Well-Being we realize that taking care of yourself in this day and age is more easily said than done, so we strive to help guide and educate you in your understanding and caring for yourself.

Our Body Workers are trained in a wide variety of bodywork. Modalities. We specialize in customizing your treatment to meet your needs, whether it is deeper more specific therapy or gentler relaxation.

We offer the following:
  Swedish Massage
Swedish massage focuses on providing increased circulation of body systems by using primarily kneading and stroking techniques aplied to muscle and soft tissue systems.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue massage works deeper into your muscles, tendons, liagments and connective tissue. Deep work focuses on relieving tension patterns and pain.
Thai Yoga Massage
This practice presents the ancient art of Thai Massage and adapts it to the "Western" body. Performed on a mat, with client fully clothed, the prctitioner uses arms, legs, feet and hands to massage and gently stretch the body along energy lines named "sen".
Seated Massage
Seated massage is an abbreviated Swedish and Deep Tissue massage performed in a specially made, supportive chair. Areas of focus can include head, neck, shoulders, back, arms, hands, hips. Client is fully clothed.
Reiki
Reiki is healing approach that uses light touch from the practitioner to channel healing energy to the recipient. Used to relieve physical and emotional pain and to promote spiritual clarity.
Facilitated Stretch
Facilitated Stretch is gentle, non-invasive form of stretching designed to restore optimal function to joints whose normal range of motion has been compromised. It is expecially useful for relieving chronic neck and shoulder pain from repetitive motion.

Rates: please check with each therapist for their specific fees, but the rates below are typical:
  • 30 minutes - $40
  • 60 minutes - $75
  • 90 minutes/Thai Massage - $110
